Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. The music she grew up with was classic, old boleros, and traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana enjoys tangos, as well as opera and various dramatic types. Ana began learning and singing musical instruments with her mother and commenced more serious singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous choirs as well as chamber ensembles. After relocating back to California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her location in southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to several community initiatives thanks to her passion and love for music. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She is hoping that it will encourage younger generations of musicians to keep the traditions going.
